Welcome to the new Trauma Resilience Hub.
The Trauma Resilience Hub is a trauma-informed, system-strengthening service embedded within the sexual violence pathway. It has been developed to support adults who have experienced sexual assault or abuse and are living with complex trauma-related mental health needs.
Our ambition is to reduce barriers to care and ensure that survivors are able to access the right support at the right time.
The Hub brings together expertise to strengthen collaboration across the system. Alongside supporting survivors indirectly and directly, we provide timely, specialist consultation to professionals working with complex trauma, helping to build confidence and improve responses across services.
What we offer
The Hub provides a supportive, trauma-informed space for professionals, staff, and volunteers working with adults with complex needs.
Our focus is on supporting you to support the individual, often through consultation and system-based approaches that reduce burden on the survivor. We offer:
- Specialist consultation, collaborative problem-solving and case discussion
- Support in developing shared, person-centred formulations
- Guidance on readiness for trauma-focused therapy and how to access it
- Support with coordinating care across services and navigating complex systems
- Advice on partnership working between voluntary, statutory, and NHS services
- Opportunities to share expertise and learn from others working with complex trauma
Through this approach, the Hub helps to strengthen care networks, improve coordination, and reduce fragmentation in support.
How we work
The Trauma Resilience Hub operates a flexible, non-linear model, recognising that recovery from trauma is not a single pathway.
Rather than defaulting to direct assessment or therapy, we take a trauma-informed approach that may include:
- Consultation and indirect support to professionals
- Stabilisation-focused interventions
- Systems navigation and coordination
- Advocacy to ensure needs are understood and met
- Assessment and formulation where clinically indicated
A key principle of our work is to minimise re-traumatisation, reduce unnecessary repetition of stories, and strengthen the system around the individual wherever possible.
What the Hub is not
- Not a referral or treatment service taking over care – we do not replace existing services, but work alongside them to enhance support
- Not a substitute for clinical supervision – supervision should continue to be accessed through your organisation
Our team and how to access the Hub
